Bitcoin Luxor participates in affiliate programmes. This page explains what that means, which programmes we are part of, and how affiliate relationships affect (and do not affect) editorial content on this site.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a tracked URL. When you click an affiliate link on Bitcoin Luxor and then make a qualifying purchase or account registration on the merchant’s website, Bitcoin Luxor may receive a commission. This commission is paid by the merchant, not by you. It does not increase the price you pay.
Affiliate commissions help fund the running of this site and allow us to continue publishing free content.
How affiliate links are disclosed
Articles that contain affiliate links carry a clear disclosure notice near the top of the page. You will see a statement such as: “This article contains affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you sign up or buy through a link on this page. This comes at no extra cost to you.”
The existence of an affiliate link is also indicated by context. In product reviews, comparisons, and best-deal articles, it is reasonable to assume that links to products or services may be affiliate links unless otherwise stated.
Affiliate programmes we participate in
Bitcoin Luxor has affiliate relationships with a number of companies in the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency space. These may include, but are not limited to:
- Hardware wallets: Ledger, Trezor, and similar manufacturers
- Cryptocurrency exchanges: Coinbase, Kraken, Binance, and others
- Bitcoin tools and services: VPN providers, security tools, and Bitcoin-related software
- Mining hardware: Where applicable, equipment manufacturers or marketplaces
This list may not be exhaustive. If you have a question about whether a specific link on this site is an affiliate link, you can ask us at info@bitcoinluxor.com.
How affiliate relationships affect editorial content
They do not.
Affiliate partnerships do not determine which products we cover, how we rank them, or what conclusions we reach. A product we earn a commission from can receive a negative review or a lower rating than a competing product we do not earn a commission from.
We do not accept payment to feature a product, write a positive review, or insert links into existing articles. If a company asks us to do this, we decline. Our Editorial Policy covers this in detail.
Your choice
You are never required to use an affiliate link. If you find a product or service on this site that you want to buy, you can always navigate directly to the merchant’s website without using our link. The price you pay will be the same either way.
If you do use our affiliate links, thank you. It helps keep Bitcoin Luxor running.
Regulatory compliance
This disclosure is provided in compliance with the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and testimonials, and equivalent regulations in other jurisdictions. Bitcoin Luxor is committed to transparency with its readers about all commercial relationships.
